Texas Ivy Antiques Route 66 Fire Restoration Fund

On August 23, 2022 Texas Ivy Antiques on Route 66 experienced a tragic fire that left their business in ashes. Texas Ivy Antiques is located on Route 66 in Amarillo Texas. The cause of the fire has been preliminary determined as an electrical fire from the attic. The Antique shop was built in the 1920's and Dora Meroney and her family have owned and operated it since 1997. Texas Ivy Antiques is a staple of Route 66 in Amarillo Texas.

With no insurance to help cover the loss, the only way up is to start from square one. If any of you know Dora, you know how much she goes out of her way to help others anytime she can, and never asks for anything in return. It's time we step up to the plate and help Mrs. Dora rebuild her business and help give her a peace of mind and a safety net because it's going to take time.

Dora has proudly served the Amarillo community and Route 66 for many years. Knowing Dora as well as I do, she has given so much back to our community and I would love for the community to return the favor in her time of need. Dora is one of the most giving, selfless people I've met. When I asked her if she was OK with me setting up this gofundme, she got emotional and said "I'm sure there is someone else that deserves this more than me". Well in my opinion, as well as many others, she is more than deserving.
