Our dear friend and fellow shipmate Melvin, due to extenuating circumstances has fallen on harder times then he already had. Melvin has been on dialysis for many years working hard on a healthier lifestyle to be a candidate for a kidney transplant. He wasn't far away from this until his last surgery a few weeks ago when doctors then told him that because he was considered "HIGH RISK" for contracting COVID-19 and that he could not return to work. Melvin held two jobs prior to this, one of them being at the VA where he worked for many years but has exhausted all of his paid time off. He needs our help right now to keep mental peace.
