Save John's Dwelling!

Hello friends and all who read this. My name is John Ettling, a graduate of Kenyon College and father of  a wonderful daughter.
In  2008 I lost my wife (and my daughter lost her mother) to cancer. I also lost my job that year. Finances forced me to sell our house  and move into a condo, for which I paid cash.  Since moving to the condo, I have wrecked the wonderful car I had and I took in a man who turned out to be a bully and a thief. I have looked for work and reluctantly filed for disability, which I am now receiving. My disability has to do with thought processing and impaired vision.
I thought that paying cash for my condo would keep me out of financial trouble. But,  during the time that I had no income and my roommate was not keeping his promises, I fell behind in paying my Homeowners Association fees. I made the mistake of not making payments to the HOA during the months after we were damaged by a flood.  The HOA has now taken me to court about my debt, adding interest, late fees and legal fees to what I owe them, which now totals $6,500.  In South Carolina, where I live, the HOA has the right to take away my condo despite the fact that I paid cash for it and have no mortgage.
My condo is almost all I have to leave to my daughter, who is a bright, wonderful young woman making her own way in the world, despite losing her mother at an early age. Your funds will pay off the debt to the HOA and keep her old man in his little condo.
This is an urgent need, as legal negotiations are going on right now. I have written a $1,000 check to the HOA which should instead  go toward my food and utilities, so I am hoping to reimburse myself for that. We are in negotiations on the balance. I think the term will end up as 6 months.
This money will put me back in good standing with my HOA. I am able to make the monthly payments going forward and will be able to live my normal life and have something for my daughter.
I have learned a lot about being thankful lately. I am thankful to God for each new day. There are many people who have blessed me along the way. It humbles me to be in need again. I have left undone things I ought to have done, and I have done things I ought not to have done. I am so thankful that you have heard this message and will consider helping me. If you can't help right now, I am thankful that you have heard this message. If you can help me and do so, you will help a wounded man to get up again, for which I will be eternally grateful.
