The 1997 year group of Tema Parents’ Association School (TEPAS) is excited to spearhead the construction of an Ultra Modern Multi-Purpose Sports Court for our beloved alma mater. This project is dubbed the Tema Parents’ Alumni Legacy Project; as such a collaboration from all other year groups is needed to see this project to fruition.
The project is estimated at GHC 700,000 (approx. $60,000) and is expected to be completed by October 2023. This multi-purpose court will be marked for basketball, tennis, volleyball and netball. It will also be equipped with bleachers and changing rooms for the students.
Technology is taking over our kids' lives causing their day-to-day to be centred around gadgets and electronics leaving them with no time to engage in physical activities like we did growing up. Playing sports can also help prevent childhood obesity and reduce the risk of developing chronic health conditions.
It is to this end, we are asking that you get on board to promote mental health wellness and help our kids develop social skills, and physical fitness while having fun all at the same time.
