On Thursday, May 17, 2018, our lives forever changed with the loss of our mom, Gayle Tribble. Approximately 2 1/2 years ago, mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. She fought it. We thought she beat it. 6 months later, we were told it had spread. It was a very aggressive cancer that had spread to her brain, resulting in radiation to her brain, which caused her to have to fight for her life even more because of the illness and pain it put her through. Monday, April 30, 2018, we went in for a cancer appointment and they had let us know there was nothing else they could do for her and they wanted to just keep her comfortable. Labs came back that she needed a blood transfusion and she would have to be admitted in the hospital. As many of you know, she hated going to the hospital and said was never going back, but she actually agreed to go for the blood transfusion with the promise that she was going to be able to hold her new grand baby, Paityn. 48-hours later she was in her arms. On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, Mom was placed on hospice. She fought a good fight until the day of her passing, which was peacefully at home, holding the hand of the man (our dad) who had been there for her for 48 years. For anybody who knows dad, he is a very giving man and always has been. It's hard for him to receive help for any reason, so that is why we're here. Dad is entering a new chapter in life; unknown territory and we are asking for the community to come together and give back to a man who is always there for any and everyone and always willing to help out in any way he can. We appreciate all donations and if you have any questions, please message myself or my sister, Jamie Kincaid. Thank you in advance for all of your prayers, love and support. We appreciate it!
