Most people in the music scene in Memphis and beyond know my brother, Tommy Burroughs. Tommy had been losing weight rapidly and just feeling bad in general. Finally a trip to the doctor and a colonoscopy revealed the word everyone hates to hear, CANCER. Tommy was diagnosed with stage 3.  If cancer has impacted you or someone you know and love in any way, then you understand the devastating impact it can cause on your life physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and financially. Tommy has been receiving chemo and radiation to shrink the large tumor so hopefully surgery can be performed to remove the cancer. The costs of treatments, medication, transportation to and from treatments and missing work (gigs) has put a hardship on Tommy and his immediate family who has helped him thus far. We decided to start a Go Fund Me now to take some of the financial burden off of Tommy. We want Tommy focusing on recovery and not on his finances. Tommy is a kind, humble and talented brother, son, friend and musician. Being a musician for many years, Tommy has always helped others. Numerous times over the years, Tommy played benefits to help raise money for those who were suffering illness and other loss. Now Tommy needs financial help.
