Help the Marcus family with medical expenses
Donation protected
Our nephew is the son of Scott Marcus and Colleen Marcus.
On Friday evening / early Saturday Morning around 3:30am, Connor was driving home from work coming on US1 towards Apex. Just as he passed the exits for for Tryon road / US64, as he was passing that, suddenly a car was driving on the wrong side of the highway with no lights on and hit Connor head on.
Connor was helped moments later by two people that came across the wreck and and called 911. While they tried to get to Connor , ,they found his phone, called his Mother, who then called me. These people were so nice as they followed Colleen to the hospital and stayed with us for several hours. Had these 2 people, angels really, not shown up, Connor would have bled out and died at the scene.
Connor was transported to Big Wake in Raleigh and has been in the STICU since getting here, As of now, Connor has 2 broken ankles, a shattered heel, 2 broken arms, 3 fractured vertebrae on his spine, 4 broken ribs, and has completely broken, his jaw. This is, in addition, to the many internal injuries, including damage to his spleen, liver, small intestines', gallbladder and his aorta.
The STICU surgeon said that in his 40 years of attending, he had never seen anything so bad, and prepared us for a best case of 10% chance to live. Connor has improved but is still not out of the woods and is currently in surgery for all his internal issues again. He has been in a medically induced coma since his arrival.
The healing will be a lengthy process, with many surgeries to be performed in the coming day's, weeks, and possibly month's which will be an astronomical cost in medical fees, the funds will go directly to Connor and his family to help in these costs. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
We cannot thank you all enough for your prayers, love, and positive thoughts. He needs every single one of them.
