Hope for Alexis

Hi. My name is Bobbie. I’m setting up this fundraiser to remodel our daughter’s bathroom. She needs a waterproof walk in shower. She has a hoyer to lift her. Except it doesn’t work in the bathroom. We have a bathtub that is in everyone’s home with a bath chair sitting in it.

Alexis moved back home in November of 2021. She lived in one of the state’s home for children. They have closed her home along with a bunch of others. The state is having a major staff shortage. In short she wasn’t getting the care she used to living there. So we moved her back home. She has gained back 20 lbs that she had lost while living there. With her having a feeding tube, she should have never lost the weight in the first place. So Alexis moving home wasn’t planned. In the past 5 years my husband has had 7 back and neck surgeries. He is disabled now. I had stage 3 breast cancer in 2019. So financially we can’t afford to do the bathroom ourselves.Whatever money we have has gone towards medical bills, and paying people to work for me, so I can take care of Lexi. I have lost a lot of business because of these things. We are holding it together by strings. Had we known she was moving back home we would have remodeled it years ago. I would love to get her one of the bathtubs that recline back as well. Lexi had no head control. Everything she has has to recline back. She has cerabal palsy, developmentally delayed, blind, hearing impaired, feeding tube, and seizures that aren’t controlled yet.She was born with these problems. I had pregnancy complications that made her that way.

We would appreciate any thing you can donate. We know times are tough everywhere. We wouldn’t ask if she didn’t absolutely need it.
