Tauala Family - Loss of Matthew Tauala

With Leaniva’s permission, I am setting this up for the Tauala family during this devastating time. Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help them now. No one prepares for the loss of a husband, father, uncle, brother…

Our beloved brother, Coach Matt Tauala, “Big Sexy” as some of you may have known him, went home to be with our Lord on August 1, 2021.

To know Matt was to be family. In every sense of the word. You were his brother, his sister, not only a friend. Matt constantly checked on everyone, asking what could he do for you. He welcomed anyone in to his family, provided for everyone, and never asked for anything in return. It was always, “I will do for you” and “come let me care and feed for you”.

To all our boys, he is Coach Matt. A force on the sidelines, a wealth of knowledge on the field. Every player was top priority for him as their coach. Our boys genuinely look up to Coach Matt as a coach, man, and leader. Most importantly though, his son MJay, who has played with us for the past several seasons.

At this time, we are asking for any support you can offer to the Tauala family. Matt always took care of everyone, and now we will do the same for his family. All proceeds will go directly to Leaniva and their family to help with the costs of Matt’s last wishes, as well as travel expenses to their families who are not in Arizona, and to help support their family.
