My dog Tater has been in and out of the ER for the past couple of weeks with unexplained allergic reactions. Today, Tater had a sudden and serious anaphylactic shock episode and almost died. The ER was able to give medications that helped, but I could not afford the additional diagnostics or hospitalization he needed, so I had to bring him home on medication and monitor him myself while hoping this does not happen again.

I am terrified of facing another reaction without answers. This has left me overwhelmed, crying, and traumatized. On top of that, I have been out of work for a few months because my job shut down, and I am doing everything I can to care for Tater while carrying this financial stress. Tater is my baby, and I cannot imagine life without him. I just want him healthy and safe again as soon as possible.

Funds will go toward:

• Lab work
• An abdominal ultrasound
• A CT scan later, if it is needed
• Potential allergy testing to help identify possible triggers

These tests could help us get answers, find the cause of these reactions, or rule out anything serious. The ultrasound and possible CT scan are especially important to help rule out serious concerns like mast cell tumors. If needed, I also want to pursue allergy testing to help identify what may be triggering these reactions.
