Hi friends, family, and kind hearted strangers, We're reaching out today on behalf of someone incredibly special-our dear friend Taryn, a 40 year old single mother, grandmother, and friend who is currently facing one of the hardest battles of her life: a diagnosis of Intermediary Grade Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma. There are many unknowns at this time. She is healing from one surgery with another guaranteed in her immediate future.

Taryn is the rock of her family. She's a devoted mother to two amazing adult children, and she's the proud "YaYa" to her 3 year old grandson who lights up her world. She also helped raise two bonus children one of whom now has a 1 year old daughter of his own an example of how love, not blood, defines family.

Taryn’s heart led her into advocacy over 13 years ago. She is one of our leader’s and part of our family. Her loyalty & work ethic have been second to none. She's the kind of person who shows up for others no questions asked, dependable, strong, and deeply caring.

Outside of work and family, Taryn finds peace in nature. She loves being outdoors, especially hiking and fishing, where she can breathe and reflect. But right now, life has brought her to a place where she needs our support.

The financial burden of cancer, doctors' visits, treatments, traveling back and forth to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, nutrition, time off work-is overwhelming.

We're asking for help to ease this part of her fight, so she can focus on what truly matters: healing and being there for her family.
