Hello, this is Ashley and Justin Ivins, Tammy’s children. We are starting this fundraiser to raise funds to lay our beloved mother to rest.

As you all know our mother had a few different health issues, but nothing that was not manageable or life threatening that we were aware of. On August 4th, we had to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital, where we found out that she had internal bleeding which they started medications to help with her blood pressure, but with her existing liver condition her organs started to fail. They diagnosed her with multiple organ failures and as septic, which shocked us as well as the doctors and nurses treating her. She went in alert and oriented, but things changed drastically as they had to intubate her around 9pm and prior to this she was sitting up talking to the us and call other family and friends as well.

After she was intubated things escalated quickly, we both rushed to the hospital to be with her as she fought for her life. The doctors and nurses tried every treatment possible but nothing would help stabilize her blood pressure so they could work on her kidneys with a dialysis (Prisma) machine. She was maxed out all blood pressure medications and as soon as they started the Prisma machine she coded the first time. We immediately had them resuscitate her and notified all immediate family as they asked us to make a decision for when it happens again.

After discussing with her medical team and discussing with family, we realized we had already done everything we can to try and save her and abide by her wishes by trying everything possible. Ultimately we had to make the hardest decision of our lives with our family by our sides. While coming to a decision they let us know she was coding a second time and we decided to do comfort care to allow her to finally rest and not put her body through anymore pain, so that she can go and be with the lord.

At 8:49am on August 5th, with us holding her hands she went to be with the lord.

We are asking for any donations to help with her services and celebration of life. These donations will go towards the services and any future unexpected bills or finances we may have to take care of after her passing.
