Tahlia’s album production in Memphis, Tennessee

Hello! My name is Tahlia Amanson. I currently attend Pratt Institute, working on getting my BFA in Writing. Growing up in the nature that Bolinas offers, I became inspired by my surroundings at a young age. From moving around a lot as a kid, to families struggles after the 2008 economic crash, I write my songs from a storytellers perspective. Starting to produce music two years ago — not to long after I started to songwrite — I released my first single called Wallflower. After releasing a few more singles, I eventually released my first EP called Landline on September 11, 2021. Although moving to Brooklyn has been a drastic change from my life back home, I have found major inspiration through not only the underground music scene, but also the immense amount of creativity that flourishes throughout NYC. Being a writer in an art school has been such a surreal experience. I honestly think it may have been the best decision to choose this environment to learn and grow as an artist in. I am currently involved in four bands, including my solo music that you can find on all platforms under the name Tahls. This summer, you can find my west coast band, TooMuchDog, on tour around the Bay Area! After going back to school in the fall, I will be flying out to Memphis, Tennessee for two weeks in September to record an EP with producer Calvin Lauber. I have been working on the songs for this EP for years now, and I am so excited to work with Calvin to bring such meaningful writing to life. Although I will be working the full summer while on tour to pay for the studio in the fall, it would be extremely helpful for anyone who has the means to donate to this amazing project, taking off some of the burden that I will be carrying for a few years.
