Sylis & Serenity

As most may know, my twins were born at 29 weeks, 11 weeks premature. They've had a hard start to life, including a blood born infection, blood transfusion, spinal taps, ECG's, EEG's, etc. These two continue to fight everyday, how ever the biggest issue that they are facing is called PDA, meaning there is abnormal blood flow between two of the major arteries connected to the heart. Both of them have been transferred to Presbyterian St. Lukes hospital in Denver considering how fast Sylis got sick, and with his sister showing the same symptoms. They will need to see a cardiologist, neurologist, hematologist and so forth. Unfortunately these specialty services aren't going to be covered under insurance. Both Aaron and I have taken time off work to face these challenges with our two babies, funds have been and will be extremely tight. It's been a hard, emotional road so far, and we still have a couple months on this roller coaster ride until we're in the clear and can bring them home. We love and thank all of our friends and family for supporting our journey so far.
