Jessica's Cancer Fight
Donazione protetta
Hi, my name is Sam, and this campaign is being launched to raise funds for one of the best people I know, Jessica Martin. A few weeks ago, Jessica received the news that no one wants to receive… a diagnosis of Adenocarcinoma (cancer). She had been battling irregular bleeding and went to see a doctor multiple times. After tirelessly advocating for herself, she finally received further testing and received the diagnosis.
I’m not going to sugarcoat this. Jessica has a tough battle to fight. Along with that battle comes medical bills and other costs. Jessica is a healthy, thriving 33 year old. To receive this news is absolutely devastating. Please consider chipping in… every dollar will count. Let’s all rally around Jessica and show her our support. Please keep Jessica and her beautiful family in your prayers if you can't contribute financially.
For those that don’t know Jessica, here is more info…
Jessica radiates happiness and is constantly moving a million miles an hour. She married her true love Jacob nearly ten years ago. They have two beautiful kids – a daughter that is six and a son that is 4. Their family wouldn’t be complete without their silly Goldendoodle Maple, who was sadly also diagnosed with cancer around the same time as Jessica. The Martins live in Twin Falls, Idaho and are truly the most hardworking and wonderful people you could ever meet.
*Update from Jessica 6/2/22:
I have debated on sharing this information at all because it is all very personal and hits very hard to home! But the time has come to ask for help. The last 3 months have been the most heart wrenching challenging months of my 33 years on Earth. Our handsome healthy son was life-flighted with pleural effusion/collapsed lung with no known cause in March. I remember the moment the helicopter landed and they rushed my baby boy away as I was left crying on the floor in the waiting room. After emergency chest tubes were placed and a week in the NICU, we returned safely home with our healthy Mason. 3 weeks ago, however, I took on my own medical journey and was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (Cancer), and I will be doing chemo and radiation. I am still not sure I am processing how all of this can even be possible. I know I don't have to rely on just my own strength, as there is so much love and support I can call upon. I am a very independent person and it is hard to feel vulnerable and scared. I ask for all of your love, support and mostly prayers to get through this. I am so grateful to be reminded that I am surrounded by so much love!
