My name is Suzie and I was diagnosed with 2 forms of breast cancer 3 days after my 39th birthday.

I started chemo on November 19th, 2024 and ever since then I've had nothing, but problems. On November 21st, 2024 I was in serve pain laying on my bathroom floor. I was transported by ambulance and went into cardiac arrest on my way to the hospital. I came back, but shortly went into cardiac arrest for a 2nd time once in the ER. The chemo and the antinausea drugs caused an arrythmia in my heart called Torsades. I spent the next few nights in the hospital. My first night was in the ICU and the next night was in the heart section of the hospital. I left on Saturday with a Life Vest to monitor my heart which is an external defibrillator.

Each round of chemo I experienced new and lasting side effects. Each time I would land in the ER and be admitted for days at a time. I asked to end the chemo journey and was approved to do so as I didn't think my body would withstand 2 more treatments. I am now set for round #1 surgery in a few weeks. Then round #2 surgery about 6 weeks later. Then a years worth of immunotherapy.

Despite these health challenges, I've tried to work as much as possible and have used the time I have, but still have had to take unpaid time. My company has been amazing and supportive! I never thought I would be in a position asking for help, but I am. I am fighting for every bit of life as now I see where I've made mistakes and taking life and health for granted. I'm getting healthier and stronger every day! Anything helps, I just can't do it alone! I love everyone of you that can help and support!
