Hi, my name is Madelyn Delamontanya, and almost two years ago I adopted my black lab, Colt, who has truly become my best friend.

Unfortunately, after adopting Colt, I learned that he had been in a serious accident before coming to the shelter—something I was never informed of at the time. He had injuries to his tail and a broken leg that required pins to be placed. Over time, those pins weakened his leg and ultimately led to him tearing his ACL.

Colt is now in pain and urgently needs x-rays and corrective surgery so he can walk, run, and live comfortably again. As a college student, I’m doing everything I can, but I simply cannot afford the full cost of his medical care on my own.
