On September 1st, 2018, Raegan & Jordan Heitzig were involved in a two boat collision that resulted in both boats sinking. The collision occurred about 8 p.m.  between Pirates Cove and the Topock Marina near Moabi Regional Park on the California-Arizona border. 

Everyone on the two boats were ejected into the water. Jordan was unconscious and rescued by her Aunt Tabby who is in Las Vegas recovering and possible facing surgery. Jordan is alive. She fractured her spine at the top of her neck and has burns from the boat impact. Raegan, Kirra and Raegan’s Uncle Brian are still missing. There is a huge search and rescue team that has been going 24/7 since the accident. Currently there are 30 divers, airplanes with high image cameras & SUVs going alongside land still looking and many more. They are not allowing for the family and friends to search. The river is also closed off to any recreational boat drivers. They are not stopping. 

This is a tragic nightmare that no one can plan for or prepare for. We are hoping to find Rae, Kirra & Brian as soon as possible.

Jordan is recovering but in pain from her injuries. She is going to need loving support both emotionally and financially from her hospital time and her ongoing care with her fractured C7 bone.

We are asking for prayers and support for Raegan and the search efforts. The officials are treating this as a drowning and they believe she was unconscious at the impact so she has not suffered. We are patiently waiting and officials have affirmed they will not leave the river or give up search efforts until they find them. On September 4th, the kayak team will be doing additional searches.

We have a long road ahead of us, we are focused on one moment at a time and all prayers and good vibes are appreciated. Jordan and Morgan can feel all your prayers and good thoughts.
