Hello everyone!

My name is Emery-Leigh, and I’m fundraising to help cover the costs of my gender-affirming surgeries and related medical expenses. As a transgender woman, living authentically as my true self has been a long and still is sometimes a challenging journey, but one filled with hope and determination; even during the days where I am filled with dysphoria. These surgeries are not cosmetic for me — they are essential steps toward aligning my body with who I truly am.

While I have been doing everything I can to save and plan responsibly, the financial burden of everyday life as well as gender-affirming care is overwhelming. Going private can be limited/inconsistent from the horror stories from other trans people and can be very expensive.

Supporting this fundraiser means helping me move toward a life where I can exist more comfortably, safely, and confidently. Every contribution — no matter the size — brings me closer to finally feeling at home in my own skin. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my story with others is deeply appreciated.

All money will be kept in an ISA savings account so interest rate from donations builds and therefore less money needed collectively.
