Supporting Miss Beefy

Hello everyone and welcome to Supporting Miss Beefy.  Annika (aka the Beefalo, aka Beefy, aka Best Girl Ever) has recently and suddenly been diagnosed with Mediastinal Lymphoma at the tender age of just 4yrs old.  This is an incurable, systemic cancer, and the only treatment option is chemotherapy.  

If you are here you likely know and love Keri (aka Beefy’s human).  And if you know Keri, I don’t have to tell you that Annika is absolutely Keri’s world.  Beefy has given Keri so much confidence over these short four years, and I’ve watched the two of them become an amazing partnership.  Beefy has overcome fear and anxiety with Keri’s love and training, and she has excelled in nose work and general awesomeness.  Keri has started her ColorStreet business and branched out of her introverted comfort zone to meet all sorts of new friends, be they nail lovers or dog people or both.  

No one deserves a cancer diagnosis, especially so unexpectantly and so damn young.  All Keri can do is keep the Beefs comfortable and continue with the chemotherapy plan her oncologist has set out.  And let me tell you, the medical bills are brutal.

Again, if you know Keri, you know that she will move heaven and earth for her Beefalo.  But let’s not leave Keri to do this on her own.  We can’t change Beefy’s diagnosis, but we can help to alleviate the financial worry and allow Keri the space to focus all her energy and love on her best friend when she needs it most.  Let’s build up as much support as we can, to help Annika live with comfort and dignity.  She’s not done fighting yet, and neither are we.
