I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of Hillary and her family, who are navigating a challenging medical journey right now.

In recent weeks, Hillary has faced unexpected neurological complications from Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertention (IIH) that required emergency surgery and ongoing specialist care. Her recovery has been slow and unpredictable, with repeated trips from Roxby Downs to Adelaide for treatment. As many locals know, the travel, fuel, accommodation and gap payments add up quickly — especially when they come without warning.

Hillary has been doing everything she can to stay hopeful and steady through this long recovery, but the ongoing symptoms and unpredictable setbacks have been wearing on her strength. We’re hoping this fundraiser can help lift some of the load so they don’t have to carry this season alone. She’s currently unable to work, and the financial pressure of ongoing medical travel has been heavy on the family. As the year draws to a close, they are simply hoping for a bit of stability and breathing room so she can focus on healing.

Funds raised will help cover:

• travel and accommodation for Adelaide specialist appointments

• medical gap fees

• essential short-term support while Hillary recovers
