Help Send WHS Students to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

We’re reaching out to our community and beyond with a heartfelt request to support a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for three incredibly talented students from Wetumpka High School’s Pride of the Tribe Marching Band.

This November, three students — a senior saxophone player, a senior trumpet player, and a sophomore percussionist — have been selected to perform in New York City in the world-renowned Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as part of the Great American Marching Band.

This is not just a parade — it’s a dream come true. It’s a stage seen by millions, a celebration of excellence, and a reward for years of hard work, discipline, and dedication to music.

We’re raising funds to help cover the costs of travel and accommodations for all three students and their band director, so they can experience this honor together. It’s a big goal, but with the help of our generous friends, family, and community, we know we can get them there.

Many of our students come from hardworking families who simply can’t cover the full expense of this trip on their own. We want to make sure that no one misses out on this incredible opportunity due to financial barriers.

What your donation supports:

• Travel and lodging for the students and band director

• Uniform and performance fees

• Any funds raised above the goal will go directly to the WHS Band Boosters to help purchase much-needed new band uniforms — our current uniforms are over 13 years old and are nearing the end of their lifespan.
