Wangari Gardens is an inviting community garden space right in the middle of Washington, DC. Over 100 gardeners maintain, not only their personal plots, but a vibrant public garden, orchard, community compost, and park and landscape features throughout the space. This small pocket promotes sustainability, uses regenerative practices on a small scale, and builds community through weekly workdays, volunteer days, and events.
