Support Vikki Brown's Fight Against Breast Cancer

I met Vikki Brown in March 2025 for a Wilderness First Aid training class we took to be better prepared in case of injury while mountain bike coaching. Vikki had colorful hair and tattoos that reflect her vibrant and fun personality. I also learned that weekend about all of the medical trials, tribulations, and family loss she suffered in the past few years. She lost her dad. Prior to meeting her and throughout 2025, Vikki suffered through many medical issues that originated from a visit to the ER and an undiagnosed clot. This list goes on and on for what Vikki has gone through since the original clot issue started. She has terrible pain from swelling in her leg due to vein damage from clots. She has damage to her lungs and more recently has gone through tests for further diagnoses of heart-related issues. Through all of this, Vikki has done her best to keep a positive attitude. We've worked together as coaches at clinics. She obtained 2 BICP mountain bike certifications just in 2025. She suffered through a lot of pain during these certifications but she did not give up. It's inspiring to see such fortitude. Through all of this, Vikki has continued to help others gain confidence and grow on and off the mountain bike. She has volunteered at a lot of Motor City Mountain Biking Association events and has been our social media guru. She has never asked for anything in return. Always giving...

Now on to the reason for this GoFundMe campaign. Vikki has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The cancer is at an early stage but it is an aggressive cancer. She has met with a surgeon and is going to have to have a mastectomy as well as radiation/chemo. Vikki is going to have to take 12 weeks off work minimum unpaid and will have to continue to pay out of pocket for the $10,000 deductible she is responsible for in order to get medical coverage.

We are asking for some financial help for Vikki and Andy (her amazing and ultra-supportive husband) to offset costs during this emotional and physically trying time. Cancer is the worst. Let's support Vikki and Andy!
