My name is Tasha and I am creating this Go Fund Me to help my best friend, Trevais, battle cancer. I have known Trevais for about 15 years at this point. I have watched her overcome challenges that no person should have to overcome... I know you hear that a lot, but it is so true for Trevais. She is a brilliant, fun, and loyal friend, one of those once in a lifetime kind of people that is always smiling, always being positive, always making sure the person next to her is ok. I don't think I've ever heard a mean word out of her mouth, and I KNOW I have never heard her ask for help. She is a single mom to 3 amazing, growing kids and works harder than any person I know! She loves being a mom more than anything in this world, if you know her you see that sparkle in her eyes every time shes talking about those kids! Which brings me to creating this fundraiser.

Trevais has been diagnosed with lower intestine and liver cancer. With that diagnosis comes endless appointments, chemotherapy, surgery, many hours of not feeling well enough to do much, the list goes on. She has already used up all of her sick leave, in fact she has gone negative. Yet somehow has to manage household bills, food, clothes, and everything else that comes with being a single mom. Like I said, she NEVER asks for help but I know how difficult this has been on her mentally, physically, emotionally, and the battle has just begun. As you may know, stress feeds diseases like cancer. Taking the financial burden off of her would help to stop feed the beast so that she can focus on her treatments and healing while also ensuring her babies are taken care of as well. The less she has to stress about, the better chances she will have at remission!

She said to me the other day, "2024 has been the year of 'I didn't think that was ever going to happen' but it did." At first I thought, wow that's so true. And then I thought, "I'm going to do everything I possibly can to help you battle this straight on so that you know you are not alone."
