Support Tim Through His Kidney Transplant

Hi, my name is Stephanie Nelson and I am Tim Nelson’s daughter. Some of you may know that my dad lives with Fabry disease and has recently been on the search for a kidney donor. We recently received excellent news that dad found a donor and will be having his kidney transplant surgery on January 25th, 2022. Although this is a huge relief, this will be an incredibly challenging and expensive time for my parents. Dad has had to take a break from his full-time job to complete dialysis and will be out of work until he is healed from surgery. Both mom and dad will need to stay in the Twin Cities for 3-4 weeks following surgery just in case there are any complications. The only feasible option for them is to stay in hotels, which we all know is a cost that will add up quickly. My sister, Sarah, and I wanted to create a GoFundMe to help relieve some of the financial burden that will come along with dad’s upcoming surgery.

Mom and dad are two of the most selfless people we know. The next chapter of their journey will be challenging but if you are interested and willing to donate, we would be so incredibly grateful.
