Support the Supernaw Family During their Fight

This Go Fund Me is being organized by a family friend for the Supernaw family. In early August, Bret Supernaw, resident of Oakhurst, an active community member, Coach, businessman and “family first guy”, suffered a major cardiac event due to multiple organ failures. He was in a coma for over a week and while his numbers are “improving”, he has a long road ahead of him. His body has suffered extensive damage, and the tests are numerous. In an update on Aug. 13, Jack Supernaw writes, “My dad is a fighter. He has come out of his induced coma, but he is still seizing and he is in a lot of pain. The trauma from the cardiac arrest has put him in a very sleepy state so staying awake and communicating is very hard for him. My dad is in bad shape, so please pray for him. While the future is uncertain, this is going to be a long journey for our family.” On Aug. 23, the most recent update is that Bret’s medical prognosis is grim. While the majority of his body managed to survive, his liver has begun to shut down completely and his body is at the point where he wouldn’t survive the surgery. With his liver shutting down, he doesn’t want to digest his nutrition and medication. It seems like he is struggling in his battle and Jack doesn’t think his dad is going to make it, but he will still pray for him. On August 30th, Bret Supernaw passed away after suffering from liver failure and kidney failure. We loved this man with all our heart. May he rest in peace.
