Support the Family of Lyndon “Lyn” Garner — A True Hometown Hero
We come together as a community to honor the life, legacy, and light of Lyndon “Lyn” Garner — our brother, teammate, husband, father, and friend — who tragically passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, leadership, and inspiration.
Lyn wasn’t just known across the Northern Neck for his football talents — he was a legend in every sense of the word. From his championship days at Essex High School to his leadership on the field at Christopher Newport University, Lyn embodied excellence, perseverance, and humility. His impact was bigger than the scoreboard — he was the kind of teammate who picked you up when you were down, the kind of friend who showed up no matter what, and the kind of man who represented every community he was a part of with pride and purpose.
Off the field, Lyn continued to lead. Whether working at Deloitte, mentoring young quarterbacks, vibing to music, or attending community events, Lyn always gave more than he received. He lived by the values of faith, family, and football — and those who knew him could feel the depth of his heart in every interaction. He was kind, genuine, and always there when you needed him.
Today, we’re raising funds to support the people who mattered most to Lyn:
his loving wife Tiffany, his 6-year-old daughter Natalie, and his 1-year-old son Caleb.
This fundraiser is a way for us — his teammates, classmates, co-workers, coaches, neighbors, and friends — to give back to someone who gave so much to all of us. Every dollar raised will go directly to his wife and children to support them during this unimaginably difficult time. Whether it’s helping with funeral expenses, future education for Natalie and Caleb, or simply making sure the family has the support they need, your generosity will make a lasting difference.
Lyn poured into so many lives — now it’s time for us to pour into his. Let’s honor his name, support his family, and keep his legacy alive.
With love and gratitude,
The CNU Captains Family & the Northern Neck Community
