Support Thaneshwar Ezhilan's Eagle Scout Project

My name is Thaneshwar Ezhilan, and I'm a Life Scout in Troop 1707 working towards the rank of Eagle Scout. My Eagle service project is to beautify the exterior of First United Methodist Church in Troy, MI. The project includes a replacement of the fences bordering the driveway, as well as staining the benches and picnic tables scattered around the church. This will be really helpful for the church, as the fences aren’t very effective as a barrier to prevent cars from driving on the grass, and the benches and picnic tables lack protection from the weather. The church is an important part of our community as it serves as a religious institution and hosts several community events that people can partake in. The church also happens to be the chartering organization for Troop 1707—it would be a way of giving back as well as making it a better place for regular goers. Accomplishing my Eagle Service Project puts me one step closer to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
