Support Tate Ramos in His Cancer Battle
Donazione protetta
My husband, Tate Ramos, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in January 2024 after several months of discomfort and pain in his abdomen. For several months we suspected it might be his gall bladder. Tate had diagnostics after he was referred to a gastroenterologist, which were all normal. Tate had visited the ER and they basically told him to have the HIDA scan for his gall bladder and sent him on his way. The pain in his abdomen and back became worse as time went by.
In early December 2023 Tate requested that they do a CT scan and that is when a cancerous lesion on his spine, at the T10 vertebrae was visualized. He was then sent for an MRI which confirmed it was a plasmacytoma approximately 4cm in the T10 vertebrae and several other lytic lesions along his spine as well as some in his skull. This has made his spine unstable, he isn’t allowed to lift anything over 10#. Hopefully with bone strengthening medication and time they will stabilize.
Tate is seeing a Multiple Myeloma specialist at MD Anderson in Houston as they are #1 in the nation for cancer research and treatment. We feel very lucky that we are only 3 hours away. Tate will be having a Stem Cell Transplant in June. This will require him to be in Houston for approximately 8 weeks for which we will need temporary housing within 15 min of the hospital. He will likely be on short term disability for a few months.
We ask that you donate whatever you can, no amount is too small. This money will go towards any medical bills, housing during transplant, parking costs, food and helping us supplement our monthly income.
We appreciate all of you and ask that you keep Tate in your thoughts and prayers, send him positivity, love and light. Tate is the strongest person I know, He WILL beat this. Thank you.
