Susan, recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer of her spine, is bravely facing this battle after having triumphed over breast cancer just four years ago.

The Ballard family is known for their generosity, making it especially challenging for them to accept help during this difficult time. Walking alongside Susan throughout this journey has revealed the harsh realities of short-term disability, the staggering costs of medical care - even with insurance - and the emotional strain that comes with a cancer diagnosis and treatment, all while trying to manage everyday expenses.
