Stan Decker's Covid Battle

It is with a heavy heart I share that Stan, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to so many, passed away on March 26th, after several weeks of battling with Covid pneumonia.
Mid-February Stan and his wife Ann both contracted Covid. Thankfully Ann recovered, but Stan's health went downhill and he was taken to hospital. He was moved into ICU on February 27th. His right lung collapsed, but they were able to re-inflate it. He was on a ventilator for a full month, he was on continuous dialysis after his kidneys stopped working, he suffered blood clots in his calves, he was heavily sedated because of pain through breathing, and he had three infections in his body and blood stream.
Anyone that has ever met Stan will know what a truly amazing man he was. We've been friends for 17 years or so and he supported me and my family through some tough times. We worked together at WellDyne RX and at Travelport before that. We volunteered together at Eastern Hills Community Church too, where both he and Ann are well known and loved. The faith in the Lord shared by Stan and Ann is a wonderful example and testimony to others. You can't think of Stan without thinking of his big smile and huge heart, willing to help anyone however he could.
I have created this fundraiser to try and help towards all the medical, funeral and travel costs for the family. Please consider contributing whatever amount you can, small or large, to help this wonderful family through such a difficult and upsetting time.
