Kokua for Skye

Skye has been having a very challenging time. Several events in his life in the past year have contributed to the mental health crisis he's facing right now. Many of you may be disturbed by what you have heard or witnessed from Skye on Facebook and around town, which is understandable. His behavior has gotten him arrested and he is currently in jail. He has not harmed anyone. His charges are mostly involving threats he's making. There are many people who care about him and really want to see him get help and come back to himself. So many of us just want him to be okay and be back in his home, in his life, back to his studies, planting, building, and being the helpful hardworking person he is. We look forward to him remembering who he is...beyond all the pain and challenges he is facing. This fundraiser is to bring those who care about Skye together to help with his rent, moving his belongings out of his home and storing them. The rest of the money would go to supporting him to get help when he is released so that he and all of us in the community can feel safe. 

His trial is not proceeding until they do a mental health assessment. The judge suspects that he is not mentally fit to stand trial. We don't know what is going to happen at this point with his trial.
