Shelly Lynn (Helms) Raby, my niece-in-law, is facing one of the toughest battles of her life. She was recently diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer with several tumors, including one in her lung adjacent to her esophagus. The news has been devastating for our entire family. Through it all, her husband Carl has been by her side, but he is also unable to work due to his own health issues. While insurance is currently covering Shelly’s treatment, the cost of daily living has quickly drained their savings. Now, they are facing the heartbreaking possibility of losing their home.
Shelly is known for her big heart and her unwavering support of Blues Hockey. She’s always been the one to lift others’ spirits, and she’s brought so much joy and laughter to those around her. Now, she and Carl need our help more than ever. Every donation will go directly toward saving their home, paying utilities, and covering the basic expenses that allow them to focus on Shelly’s health and well-being.
I am hoping and praying that friends, family, and kind-hearted members of the community will come together to support Shelly and Carl during this incredibly difficult time. Every dollar truly makes a difference, and no amount is too small. Your generosity will be deeply appreciated and will help give them hope and stability as they face the challenges ahead.
