Help Support Shawn Kimsey's Recovery
Dear friends and family,
My name is Mike Kimsey, and I'm reaching out to you on behalf of my uncle, Shawn Kimsey. Shawn has always been more than just an uncle to me; he’s been a brother, a mentor, and a constant support throughout my life. With our birthdays just six months apart, we've shared a unique bond more like Brothers than other Uncle/nephew relationships.
Shawn is one of the hardest-working individuals I know, always prioritizing the needs of others over his own. He's dedicated his life to helping friends and family, especially after events like Hurricane Helene, when he worked tirelessly to support our community.
Unfortunately, over the past year, Shawn’s health has taken a drastic turn. He began experiencing severe discomfort but initially tried to push through it, not wanting to take time off work. After persistently feeling unwell, he finally sought medical help, leading to a diagnosis of severe spinal stenosis and stenosis in the brain. These conditions have significantly impacted his mobility and overall well-being.
Shawn is scheduled for surgery that aims to alleviate the pressure on his spine and restore his mobility. However, this is just the first step in a long recovery process, which will also involve additional procedures to address the issues with his brain arteries. As a result of these medical challenges, he will be unable to work and support his family during his rehabilitation.
We are creating this GoFundMe campaign to help support Shawn during this challenging time. Your contributions can help ease the financial burden he is facing, allowing him to focus solely on healing and recovery without the added stress of financial concerns.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Thank you for taking the time to read Shawn's story and for any support you can provide. Please keep Shawn in your thoughts and prayers as he navigates this difficult journey. All of the money will be used to help Shawn pay for medical bills and expenses he incurs during his recovery
With gratitude,
Mike Kimsey
