My name is Shannon, and at 44 years old I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m a wife, a mom of two amazing girls, and someone who never imagined I would be writing something like this about myself.

I’ll be beginning chemotherapy and immunotherapy on September 25, with months of treatment ahead of me. As we adjust to this new reality, many people have reached out asking how they can help, which is why I decided to create this fundraiser.

Funds raised will help with the expenses that come along with treatment — medical costs, travel to appointments, meals and groceries, medications and supplies, and the added expenses of keeping our household and our girls’ lives as normal as possible while I go through treatment. It will also provide some breathing room if there are days when treatment makes it difficult for me to work my normal schedule.

There are absolutely no expectations. Every message, prayer, check-in, share and act of kindness means just as much to me as a donation. I’m incredibly grateful for the people surrounding our family as we begin this journey. ❤️
