Support Scott's Journey: Spinal Surgery Ahead
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We're reaching out today on behalf of someone incredibly dear to us—Scott (Bear), a hardworking husband, father, and friend who has always been the one to lend a hand when others were in need. Now, he’s the one who needs support.
Scott has recently been medically discharged from his lifelong career as a diesel mechanic—a trade he not only loved, but one he proudly dedicated his life to. Unfortunately, ongoing severe and debilitating spinal pain from years of physically demanding labor has made it impossible for him to continue.
His most recent spinal fusion surgery, which we had all hoped would bring some relief, was sadly unsuccessful. Now, Scott is facing the toughest challenge of his life: a major reconstructive spinal fusion surgery in September that will fuse his spine from T10 all the way down to his pelvis. This complex, high-risk surgery will take approximately eight hours, and will require an extended hospital stay followed by several weeks in a rehabilitation facility—potentially up to a month or more.
The emotional and physical toll is immense, but so is the financial burden. Scott’s wife, Lisa, and their young son, Brian, have been doing all they can to stay strong and hold things together. But with Scott now out of work, medical bills piling up, and long-term uncertainty about whether he’ll ever be able to return to employment, they are facing a mountain of expenses they simply cannot manage alone.
We're asking for your support—whether it’s a financial gift, a share of this campaign, or simply keeping Scott in your thoughts and prayers. Every little bit helps. Funds raised will go directly toward:
Hospital and surgical costs
Extended rehabilitation care
Home accommodations for recovery
Living expenses during Scott’s recovery
Supporting Lisa and Brian while Scott is unable to work
Scott has always shown up for others—through long hours, physical pain, and a heart full of grit and determination. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
