As one of the oldest independent soccer clubs in the United States, the Schwaben Athletic Club is excited to celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2026! We're not just looking back at a century of triumphs; we're building toward an even brighter future.

A cornerstone of our next chapter is improving our facilities. We’re investing in a state-of-the-art artificial turf field with lighting to ensure our players enjoy an unparalleled soccer experience—regardless of weather or daylight limitations during late fall, winter, and early spring.

Founded in 1926 by thirteen passionate young men, Schwaben Athletic Club has weathered history—from the Great Depression and World War II to six Major Division Championships in the late 1950s and a move to Buffalo Grove, IL in 1970. Over decades of success, including 1964 and 1998 US National Amateur Championships as well as producing two national Hall of Famers and numerous Illinois Hall of Famers, thousands of players have called Schwaben home, finding a safe space to foster a healthy lifestyle, a love of soccer, and deep community connections both on and off the field.

Today, Schwaben is renowned as one of Chicagoland's most respected soccer clubs. With a vibrant youth program and opportunities for lifelong involvement through our Men’s and Women’s teams, we remain committed to empowering players of all ages and creating lasting friendships.
