Support Sal Costa

Friends,

As some of you already know, our friend, and BBPLL Board Member and Coach, Sal Costa, was recently diagnosed with esophagus cancer.  The diagnosis came fairly sudden in September and led to the need for immediate specialized surgery, which took place little more than a week ago at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.  Thankfully, the surgery seems to have been successful and Sal was able to return home to New York this past Friday, after a 2-week stint away from home.  He will continue his recovery at home now. 

The Costas themselves would have nothing of this, but we would like to try to help them out a bit, as Sal is self-employed tile contractor who will have been out of work for close to 2 months by the time all is said and done.  For those of you who have been touched by the ordeal of any serious form of cancer, you understand that the financial consequences of can be steep, as the loss of income coincides with the sudden burden of unforeseen medical expenses.
