My brother Roger was spending time in Puerto Rico. Just two days before Thanksgiving, he was involved in a critical accident that changed everything for our family. Roger was med-flighted to San Juan, where he has been receiving care in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit. He has undergone multiple surgeries involving his lungs and vital organs. While Roger has made significant progress—he is now breathing on his own—he still faces a long road ahead. It will be several more weeks before his lungs are healthy enough for him to return home to Boston.

Our family has made multiple trips back and forth to Puerto Rico to be by Roger’s side and support his healing. We are asking for help with the travel expenses for our family to continue supporting him in Puerto Rico, as well as the cost of transporting him safely back to Boston and covering ongoing medical expenses. Your support will help us stay together as a family during this difficult time and ensure Roger gets the care he needs.

The holiday season has not been what we expected this year, but we are grateful he has made it this far and remain optimistic about his future progress.
