Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. My name is RJ and I'm currently raising funds to support my mother's health and healing journey. My mother is currently suffering from two aneurysms in her brain. One is near her frontal lobe, and one is towards the back, near her spine. She began battling these issues in 2010, and due to medical negligence, her condition has worsened and the aneurysms have become more high risk.

In a few weeks, my mom will undergo surgery to repair the aneurysms. She will not be able to work and will need assistance with bills and food. Additionally, sometime after she recovers from her neurological surgery, she will also have to undergo total knee replacements on both knees, followed by intensive physical therapy.

Funds raised during this campaign will be used to cover medical bills, rent, household utilities, and the price of a health attendant while my mom is out of work.

My mom is a working-class Black woman who has given back to her community as a nurse's aid, domestic violence advocate (and is a DV survivor herself), youth mentor, and as a member of the Weinland Park Civic Association. She is a mother of three, grandmother of four, and a pillar of the Black community in Columbus, Ohio.
