Support Richard's Journey Through Cancer

My name is Richard. It all started off with what I thought was a hemorrhoid. I got a new doctor, and he wanted me to have a colonoscopy. My colon was fine, but they discovered a large mass. I got sent to a specialist, and he scheduled surgery for me. They removed the mass, and it came back positive for colorectal cancer. So, I just had a second surgery where they removed part of my small intestines and part of my anus. They gave me a ileostomy with a colonoscopy bag. I’m not allowed to work for a month and am awaiting the test results from the organs that they removed. I’m going to have to have another surgery in two months to undo everything that they did. I’m broke, and the bills just keep rolling in. I just got approved for food stamps and am trying to apply for temporary disability, which isn’t easy. I just want to get healthy again and get back to work. The job I had when all this started let me go when I told them I was sick, and I lost my health insurance. I really don’t know what to do.
