Kevin Schmidt was a beloved husband, father, and community and family member in Linden, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Renee, who is now facing the difficult task of managing funeral costs and related expenses after his passing.

Kevin and his wife Renee moved to Linden in 2001 to realize their dream of owning and operating their own mom & pop shop. Together they started Dimples in the heart of downtown Linden. Starting out as a toy store, Dimples grew into so much more, developing into an eclectic establishment offering healthy food, exceptional coffee, and one-of-a-kind gifts. With its authentic southern charm, fueled by the love and passion Kevin and Renee shared, Dimples soon became a staple of the community and the town's oldest merchant. In addition to running the shop with his wife, Kevin was a talented baker and enjoyed creating speciality breads and other treats. He also became a local locksmith, expanding the ways Dimples served the people of Linden.

Kevin’s passion for music was evident in everything he did. He played drums, wrote music, and was a member of his own band for many years. Alongside Renee, Kevin dedicated countless hours to volunteering with youth in their community, mentoring and encouraging young people. Together, they formed The Linden Vaudeville Players, a stage theater group that made a lasting impact on many teens and young adults, teaching them faith, and encouraging a relationship with God and others.

Kevin was a devoted father to three sons, David, Joshua, and Danny, and a loving grandfather of three grandchildren. His son Danny passed away unexpectedly at age 19 and was laid to rest in Nashville. Danny's passing was a very hard loss for everyone who knew him and it's the hope of Kevin's family to have his resting place together with his son.

Now, as Renee faces the challenges of this loss, we are reaching out for support to help cover funeral expenses and ease her financial burden.
