Hi friends and family,
I’m sharing this with a heavy but hopeful heart, as our family has recently received difficult news. My sister-in-law, Rachel, has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of sarcoma. Because this cancer is so uncommon, her medical team at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital is navigating treatment carefully and thoughtfully, doing everything possible to give her the best outcome.
Rachel is in her mid-30s and is an incredible mom to four wonderful children. Over the coming months, her treatment plan will require multiple extended hospital stays, including several inpatient chemotherapy admissions both before and after surgery. Many of these treatments involve being hospitalized for several days at a time, and this pattern will continue for quite a while.
As you can imagine, the emotional and logistical toll on their family is significant. Between long hospital stays, travel, time away from work, and caring for four children, the financial burden adds up quickly. This is why we are reaching out for support to help ease some of that strain so Rachel and her family can focus on healing, being together, and taking things one day at a time.
Rachel is surrounded by an amazing medical team who are committed to fighting alongside her, and we are holding onto hope every step of the way. We are so grateful for the love, prayers, encouragement, and generosity already shown, and we truly appreciate anything you’re able to give... whether that’s a donation, a prayer, or sharing this page with others.
Thank you for supporting Rachel and her family during this journey. It means more than words can express.
