Donazione protetta
I am reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my beloved sister, Nirmala Pokhrel, to ask for your support during this incredibly challenging time. Nirmala is a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and a caring member of our community who has touched so many lives. Unfortunately, she was recently diagnosed with periampullary cancer and has undergone a complex and risky Whipple's surgery. This procedure involved the resection of her gallbladder, 50% of her pancreas, jejunum, bile ducts, and lymph nodes.
After the surgery, Nirmala faced further complications, including rare pancreatitis and pneumonia, which left her with a high-grade fever and a weakened immune system. The recent procalcitonin test suggests that she is in high risk of progression to severe systematic infection that can lead to severe sepsis also known as septic shock. With that she is in high risk of damaging other body organs. These complications have resulted in a prolonged hospital stay and a difficult recovery process.
Her cancer is currently in the second stage, and she will need to undergo chemotherapy to aid in her fight against this disease. Hefty amount of money has already been spent for her treatment and more is required for her recovery and chemotherapy. Her financial status is not very strong as she comes from a lower middle class family background and it has become very difficult for her family members to afford the money for her treatment.
Any donations are deeply appreciated and will go directly toward covering her medical expenses, travel costs for hospital visits (from Nepal), and the vital medication required for her recovery. Nirmala is currently being treated at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital in Delhi, India. We are hopeful and committed to raising funds for her medical treatment, with the heartfelt goal of seeing Nirmala healthy and thriving once more.
If you're unable to donate, please keep Nirmala in your thoughts and prayers. Your support, in any form, means the world to us.
Thank you so much for your kindness, and may God bless you all!
