Home. A place of safety. Peace. Care.
When my twin sons were toddlers, I wrote the lullaby, "Home Home" to tap into our inner calm, happiness, sense of home. This spring, I partnered with students at the University of Virginia to record the song performed by Dee Dee Denaud and produced by Alayjah Gillus and Kelsey Dam. Now we are sharing it to help raise funds to support those who are not feeling safe. We selected the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) that is dedicated to ensuring that low-income immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers receive the human rights protections they deserve. NIJC’s work is vital to promoting justice and community safety for those who need it most.
Your contributions will directly support their mission in powerful ways, such as:
- Providing direct legal services to over 11,000 individuals annually, including children and survivors of domestic violence.
- Advocating for systemic changes to protect immigrant rights through impact litigation and public education.
Join us in making a difference! Every donation, no matter what amount, helps NIJC continue their life-changing work. Together, we can stand up for justice and support our immigrant neighbors.
To the Home inside of all of us and to making others feel at Home,
