Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. -Gal.6:2
6/30/25 UPDATE:
Nate and family are FINALLY home! He will wear a heart monitor for three months and also begin some cardiac rehab and regular checkups.
As many of you know, Nate Abel and his amazing family moved here to Abilene, Texas almost 4 years ago. They have been a wonderful addition to our ecclesia and are precious friends to us (and many of you!).
Late Thursday night, Nate had a severe heart attack, and we would love to help alleviate as much financial strain as we can while he focuses on recovery and rehab. If you know Nate, you know he is chomping at the bit to get back to work!!
Early Friday morning, he had four stents put in and many tests run. He has spent two days in the ICU and will spend at least two more days in the hospital before heading home to recover. It is unclear how long his recovery will be, but we know he will need to slow down a lot until he's back to his ornery self.
We would LOVE to help cover at least 2-3 months of regular monthly bills AND make a HUGE dent in the hospital and cardiac rehab bills that will start coming in soon. I know any amount will be greatly appreciated, and they are especially thankful for prayers for continued healing.
I believe Nate's doctor said it best Friday morning, "God was with you today."
On behalf of the Abel family (Nate, Rebekah, Brennen, Levi, Sadie, and Sophia), I want to thank everyone for lifting this family in prayer and for any contribution you are able to make.
