Support My Films on Special Needs Kids & Rhesus Disease

Doação protegida

I am a mother. I am a storyteller. And I am a survivor of a silent struggle that too few people talk about.

When I became pregnant with my first child, I was filled with joy and hope, but I also carried an invisible risk. As someone with Rh-negative blood, I was suddenly thrust into a world of medical terms, warnings, and frightening possibilities I had never heard about before. My child had Rh-positive blood, and that tiny biological difference meant my own body could become a threat to my baby. I faced one of the most terrifying experiences of my life, trying to carry and protect a child while fighting the very real possibility that my own immune system might harm them.

Thankfully, with medical guidance and emotional support, I navigated that journey. But no mother should have to face that kind of fear in the dark. Too many women, especially African women and women in underserved communities, don’t get the information, support, or advocacy they need when it comes to Rhesus disease. That’s why I’m making "Bloodline: The Silent Battle." It’s a film about awareness, science, and the quiet battles that can mean life or death before a child ever takes their first breath.

But my story doesn’t end there.

One of my children has special needs. Raising him has taught me that difference is not deficiency, it is simply another way of experiencing the world. Every day, I see strength, beauty, and brilliance that doesn’t always conform to society’s expectations. But too often, children like mine are misunderstood, overlooked, or labeled unfairly. I’m making "Different, Not Less" to help shift that narrative, to show the world what acceptance, support, and love can truly do. To remind everyone that neurodivergent children have voices worth hearing and futures worth fighting for.

These two films are not just stories. They are my truth. They are the truths of millions of families around the world who face the twin challenges of medical complexity and social misunderstanding. And they deserve to be seen, heard, and understood.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Producing these films takes resources, far beyond what I can shoulder alone. Your support will help bring these stories to screens, classrooms, and communities. Your donation is not just funding a film; it's amplifying voices, educating families, and saving lives.

If you believe in storytelling with purpose…
If you believe that awareness can spark change…
If you believe that difference is something to celebrate, not hide…

Then I ask you, from the bottom of my heart, to stand with me.

Together, we can turn silence into strength and difference into dignity.

With gratitude,
