Support Mitch's Fight for Health and Stability

My name is Marissa and our little brother could use some help. A year ago, Mitch had a heart attack which led him to not be able to return to work, living off of his short-term disability from Hormel. Fast forward almost a year later, with no notice, Hormel cut him off from all his insurance benefits, etc. He went without any of his heart and diabetes meds for 3 months.

Last week, Mitch was once again admitted to the hospital here in Austin with a very dangerously high BP and was transferred to the cardiac intensive care unit at St. Mary's, where he spent a week. That's when he found out he now has kidney problems and is now waiting for more tests on his kidneys and more procedures on his heart.

While he is home now, he has been fighting with state insurance to be able to get his meds to keep him alive (us family have been paying for them; as you know, it gets very expensive). Mitch has been approved for social security and is still waiting for his payments to start, but he has not been given a start date.

As a single guy with bills and a mortgage to pay on his own, if you could find it in your heart to help out and donate, we would appreciate it so much, or even just sharing this, we would be so grateful
