For the past several months, Marilyn has struggled with digestive issues, rapid weight loss, and fatigue. Initially, it was thought that she was experiencing ulcerative colitis and she made adjustments to her diet. But symptoms continued to grow worse and in July, further tests/ scans and a biopsy returned a diagnosis: colon cancer.  

While this saddens all of us who know and love Mike and Marilyn,  they are trusting in God,  full of peace and ready to fight. But they can really use our help…..

Up until now, doctor visits and tests have all had to be paid out of pocket due to not having medical coverage. Though it is expected that Medicare will go into effect next month, the costs incurred so far and with anticipated coverage, will still be tens of thousands of dollars. Furthermore, Marilyn is no longer able to work at her part-time job and she urgently needs to begin treatment,  including doctor appointments, surgery, and chemo. These will most likely have to take several hours away, necessitating travel and lodging expenses as well. 

As you know Mike and Marilyn have poured their hearts and lives into children’s ministry for several decades. They simply cannot do this without our help. Would you please pray and consider donating to help her begin treatment right away?
